We bring our own equipment & cables including dynamic clip-on mics for the brass section, with the following exceptions:
- Stage Microphones - Supplied by Promoter/Venue
- XLR cables - supplied by Promoter/Venue/
- Drumkit - supplied by Promoter/Venue/Headline act.* Chik Budo to supply breakables.
Connectivity
- Alto Sax - XLR connection (cable to be provided by venue)
- Tenor Sax - XLR connection (cable to be provided by venue)
- Korg R3 Synth - DI to desk via 1/4" Jack
- Apple Mac Laptop - DI to desk via stereo RCA Jack
- Akai MPC1000 & Zoom Sampler
The above electronic instruments are submixed into a small Tapco mixer which provides stereo output on 1/4" Jacks - Korg R3 Vocoder - DI to desk via 1/4" Jack
- Bass guitar - DI to desk via Line 6 POD amp simulator, which has a 1/4" Connection.
- In total, Chik Budo will require 5 DI inputs for instruments, 2 Vocal mics & cables for voices, 2 XLR inputs for Brass, plus Drums.
* The two scenarios where this is not the case are when: (1) Chik Budo are the Headline act. Note that this does not necessarily mean Chik Budo are the final band to perform at the event. (2) Chik Budo are the only band performing at the event. Under these circumstances, we provide the full Drumkit.
